Public holiday in UP on 27th December, schools and colleges will remain closed

Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has declared a holiday across the state on 27 December 2025 on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti. With this announcement the situation of confusion that had been going on for a long time has also ended. Now it has become clear that along with all the government offices in the state, schools and colleges will also remain closed on that day. In a recent order issued by the government, it has been said that the holiday declared on 27th December has been kept in the category of public holiday.

Instructions for rescheduling programs

The government has also made it clear that the dates of government meetings, programs or public hearings which were already fixed on December 27, should be rescheduled for later. As soon as the order is issued, necessary instructions have been given to the concerned departments, so that there is no disturbance in the work.
