Any vehicle without PUCC…
Citing the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, the Odisha State Transport Authority (STA) said the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and the Central Motor Vehicles Act 1989 clearly state that driving a motor vehicle without a valid PUCC is a criminal offence. Therefore, STA has decided that no petrol or diesel will be supplied to any vehicle without PUCC. The STA has directed oil companies to issue immediate notices to all their retail outlet franchisees and dealers in Odisha. According to the order, fuel outlets should ensure that fuel is supplied only after verifying that the vehicle’s PUCC is valid. Retail outlet employees should be educated about this by providing legal and other information.
Odisha follows Delhi’s path

This information was given by Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. He clarified that as per legal norms, only vehicles with valid PUCC will be allowed to get fuel and vehicles below BS6 standard coming from outside Delhi will be banned and impounded.
