3 players suspended for assaulting coach, chaos in Puducherry cricket

Delhi: The Cricket Association of Pondicherry has suspended three first-class cricketers, J Karthikeyan, A Aravindraj and S Santosh Kumaran, for attacking Under-19 state team coach Venkatraman. Puducherry Cricket took this decision on Wednesday and said that these players have been facing serious allegations of indiscipline.

The matter is of last year, now Puducherry Cricket has taken the decision

This alleged incident took place on December 8 last year and now this matter has taken legal form. Puducherry Cricket has taken major action and suspended these three players on Wednesday. These three players have been playing regularly in domestic cricket for Puducherry and have participated in major Indian tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Arvindraj was also a part of the team in the recently played domestic season.

All three players will not get any facility

Cricket Association of Pondicherry, using administrative powers, has barred these three players from coming to any of its premises and has also banned them from using their facilities. This suspension will also apply to playing in all national and other tournaments, due to which these three players will remain out of competitive cricket until further notice.

When will the suspension on the three players be lifted?

The association has made it clear that this suspension will continue until the court acquits the players of all charges. It was also told that the accused players have the right to appeal against this decision to the Ethics Officer or Ombudsman of the State Association.
