Pumpkin Halwa: It is a pleasure to have something hot to eat during the winter season. And if you get sweet pudding in future then what can you say? Material
Pumpkin (smooth pumpkin) – 500 grams
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 3-4 tbsp (as per taste)
Milk – 1 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Raisins – 2 tbsp
Almonds and pistachios (chopped) – 1/4 cup
Cashew nuts – 2 tbsp
Nutmeg (optional) – 1 pinch
Method
1-First of all, peel the pumpkin and cut it into small pieces. Grate the pumpkin pieces. Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan.
2- Now add grated pumpkin and fry it on medium flame for 5-7 minutes, so that it becomes slightly soft. Now add 1 cup milk in this mixture and mix well.
3- Let it cook until the milk is completely absorbed and the pumpkin becomes soft. Now add sugar to it and mix well. Cook until the sugar dissolves completely.
4-After this add raisins, chopped almonds, pistachios, cashews and cardamom powder. You can also add nutmeg as per taste. Mix it well and cook for 5-7 more minutes, so that all the ingredients get mixed together well.
5-When the mixture becomes thick and ghee starts coming out from the sides, then your pumpkin halwa is ready. Serve it hot.
