Pune blast accused, who was granted bail by the court, got death sentence on the ‘street’! shot dead in broad daylight – ..

Year 2012… The serial bomb blasts on Jangamalli Maharaj (JM) Road in Pune shook the entire Maharashtra. One of the accused in this case was Aslam Shabbir Jahagirdar, alias Bunty Jahagirdar. Who was caught by the police and ATS with great difficulty, and who was out on bail since 2023.

But Wednesday proved to be the last day of Bunty Jahagirdar’s life.

Was returning from cemetery, shot 3 bullets in chest and stomach

This entire incident happened like a film scene.
Bunty Jahagirdar (53 years) was returning home after reciting Fatiha at the grave of one of his relatives in Shrirampur, Ahmednagar (now Ahilyanagar) district of Maharashtra. He was sitting on the back of his relative’s moped.

Just then, two attackers who came on a bike targeted him and opened fire on him. Three bullets hit him in his chest and stomach. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but it was too late. Doctors declared him dead.

The attackers themselves surrendered

This massacre, which took place in broad daylight, spread sensation in the entire area. Several police teams started searching for the attackers. But surprising everyone, both the attackers surrendered themselves at Shirdi police station late in the night.

Who was Bunty Jahagirdar? (From Terror to Politics)

  • Bunty was not an ordinary criminal. In the 2012 Pune bomb blasts, he was accused of providing weapons to the terrorists.
  • ATS had arrested him in January 2013, but he was out on bail since 2023.
  • More than 17 FIRs were registered against him since 1997.
  • Despite such serious allegations, his family was quite active in local politics. His mother had been a member of the city council, and after him his sister-in-law and cousin also won elections and became councillors.

The police is now investigating the entire matter whether this murder is the result of some old rivalry or there is some other bigger conspiracy behind it. But this incident has once again proved that the world of crime often ends like this.
