Modern Dairy Farming Techniques: New technology for dairy business in Pune, farmers will get big benefits
Sex-Sorted Semen In Dairy Business: Effective use of modern technologies in animal husbandry sector has been initiated with the aim of making dairy farming more productive, sustainable and economically profitable in Pune district. This effort is helping farmers increase production and reduce rearing costs.
Sex sorted semen: a boon for farmers
Among these technologies, ‘sex sorted semen’ is proving especially beneficial for milk producing farmers. Through this technique, the sex of the cow’s calf can be determined in advance, due to which there is about a 10 percent chance of the birth of a female calf. Due to the importance of female animals in dairy business, farmers are getting huge economic benefits from this technology.
Reduce the burden of rearing unnecessary male calves
In view of the increasing rearing costs and the need for high production capacity animals, this technology is proving to be extremely useful in reducing the burden of rearing unnecessary male calves. This not only increases the production capacity but also improves the economic condition of the livestock farmers.
