Pune Gorakhpur Special Train | There is a big relief news for travelers traveling to Pune and North India. Keeping in view the increasing crowd during the ongoing summer travel season, Central Railway has decided to increase the number of Pune-Gorakhpur summer special trains. Due to this decision, as many as 124 additional rounds will be added to the schedule.

Every year during the summer holidays there is a huge rush of travelers from cities like Pune, Mumbai to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and other states. Many citizens who live in Maharashtra go back to their hometown on vacations for work, education and business. This naturally creates a lot of stress in railway trains. Considering this situation, Central Railway has taken this important decision.

According to the information provided by the railway administration, train number 01415 Pune-Gorakhpur special train will now run daily from 15th May to 15th July 2026. A total of 62 additional rounds will be completed due to this extended schedule. This train will depart from Pune at 06:50 AM and reach Gorakhpur at 04:00 PM the next day. In the return journey, train number 01416 Gorakhpur-Hadapsar Special Train will also be operated daily from 16th May to 16th July 2026. There will be 62 additional rounds on this route as well. This train will leave Gorakhpur at 05:30 PM and reach Hadapsar Railway Station at 03:15 AM on the third day.

This special train has 18 ICF coaches for the convenience of passengers. It will comprise one AC 2-tier, five AC 3-tier, six sleeper class, four general second class and two guard-cum-luggage van coaches. The railway administration said that the reservation for extended trains departing from Pune will start from April 26, 2026. This booking will be available at all computerized PRS centers as well as on the official website of IRCTC. Therefore, it has been requested that the passengers should make reservation in time and fix the seat.

General second class and baggage-cum-guard compartments will remain available in unreserved form. Tickets for these coaches will be available through UTS system, mobile app and booking windows. The ticket fares will be as per rules for Superfast, Mail and Express trains. The railway administration has advised passengers to check train stops, timings and updates before travelling.
