Historic step of AAP government in Punjab, voice of 10 lakh MNREGA families will reach PM

Punjab News: In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party has once again given the message that the center of its politics is the poor, the toiling and the working class. The party has started a unique and effective campaign to strongly highlight the problems and sufferings of more than 10 lakh MNREGA labor families in the state. Under this initiative, Aam Aadmi Party MLAs reached the special session of Punjab Assembly with lakhs of letters written by MNREGA workers.

The real story of families in letters

These letters are not just documents on paper, but are the real stories of families who earn their living on the basis of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA). The special thing was that the MNREGA workers themselves reached the assembly and presented their views in front of the public representatives in a democratic manner.

Resolved to reach PM

Taking this initiative seriously, the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann made it clear that the voice of the workers will not be limited to the Assembly only. The government has resolved to send these letters to the Prime Minister of the country, so that the ground reality of MNREGA workers and their problems can be made aware at the central level.

Workers have been facing challenges for a long time

MNREGA workers of Punjab have been facing many challenges for a long time. Delay in payment of wages remains the biggest problem, which affects the daily needs of poor families. In many areas, the situation of unemployment also arises due to not getting work on time. The state government says that the delay in release of funds affects the implementation of the scheme, which directly impacts the workers.

How special is this initiative of AAP government?

This initiative of Aam Aadmi Party shows that it is committed to taking the issues buried in policies and files to higher levels of power by making them the voice of the people. This campaign is being considered a strong step towards ensuring the rights, respect and timely employment of workers. The party has reiterated that it has always stood with the poor and laborers and will continue to fight for them in future also.
