Punjab government is working to track and bring back the accused from all over the world.

Bhagwant Mann government has given a clear and unmatched message against crime. The government has given proof of its reach and determination by bringing back Amritpal Singh Mahir, the main accused in the Kamal Kaur murder case, from UAE. Along with this, the noose has been tightened on gangster networks operating from abroad.

What did Bhagwant Singh say on gangster?

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these gangsters are providing funds to shooters in states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. He stressed that many such criminals have already been arrested in Punjab and the AAP government is continuously coordinating with the Union Home Ministry and External Affairs Ministry to track the criminals from across the world and bring them back.

Speaking to media persons, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Punjab government is in constant touch with the Union Home Ministry and External Affairs Ministry to bring back the wanted gangsters and criminals in Punjab. He said that these continuous efforts are yielding results and many main criminals have already been brought back. He assured that the law and order situation in Punjab is absolutely normal and the ‘War on Gangsters’ campaign is playing an important role in curbing crime.

The Chief Minister further said that whatever information we get about all the gangsters, they are not from Punjab, but are running their network from abroad. Some people are supplying weapons, while in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, shooters are being paid; Many such shooters have also been arrested.

Explaining the coordinated action, Chief Minister Mann said that when we get such information, we immediately contact the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs and we have been successful in bringing back many of them. Some are coming from Dubai, some from Portugal, some from England, America or Canada. He explained in detail about the spread of these criminal networks across the world and the strict action taken by the government against them.

Reiterating Punjab’s identity and government’s commitment, the Chief Minister said that Punjab is a peace-loving state. This is the land of people seeking ‘Sarbat Da Bhala’ and we are continuously working for the welfare of all.

Meanwhile, AAP Punjab General Secretary Baltej Pannu welcomed the arrest of Amritpal Singh Mahiro, the main accused in the Kamal Kaur murder case. He said that his return from UAE shows the firm promise of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government to maintain law and order.

What did Baltej Pannu say?

Baltej Pannu said that social media influencer Kamal Kaur was murdered in Bathinda in June last year and since then Punjab Police was continuously chasing the accused. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mann, the government has adopted ‘zero tolerance’ policy against crime, due to which the accused were tracked and brought to justice.

He stressed that if anyone thinks that he can commit a crime in Punjab and get away with it by hiding in another state or country, he is deeply mistaken. Baltej Pannu claimed that wherever he goes, he will be found and brought back.

Reiterating the strong will of the government, he said that anyone taking law into their own hands will not be spared and such criminals will be brought back from any corner of the world and given strict punishment as per the law.
