Punjab government made special arrangements for Shahidi Sabha, people will get these facilities including health, safety and cleanliness.

Chandigarh: Giving detailed information about the arrangements made for lakhs of devotees coming from all over the world to pay homage to the great sacrifice of Chhote Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri Ji on the occasion of Shahidi Sabha on the holy land of Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today said that health facilities, transportation, cleanliness and security arrangements and other arrangements for the Sangat have been made on a large scale so that no devotee faces any difficulty.

While talking to journalists here today, the Chief Minister said that keeping in mind the large influx of Sangat, special efforts have been made for health facilities. He informed that 20 common man clinics and 5 dispensaries are being set up where specialist doctors and other staff will be present. He said that arrangements for medicines and other items have been made for these clinics and dispensaries.

Sahibzadas sacrificed to save religion

Referring to the great sacrifice of the younger Sahibzadas of Dashmesh Pita Sahib Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the Chief Minister said that the incomparable sacrifice given by the younger Sahibzadas to protect the human right to adopt religion as per the voice of conscience is a unique incident in human history. He said that in Sikh history this sacrifice is remembered as ‘Bade Sake’ of ‘small lives’. Even though more than three centuries have passed since this incident, its pain is still being felt very keenly by the entire Sikh world.

Google’s help is being taken to improve traffic

The Chief Minister further said that the Punjab Government will start ‘Inter City Shuttle Bus Service’ to provide free travel facility to the Sangat in the city and 200 shuttle buses and 100 e-rickshaws will be deployed for the Sangat during the Shaheedi Sabha. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these buses and e-rickshaws will take the Sangats coming from outside from the parking places to Gurdwara Sahib and other places. He told that to make the traffic system smooth, this time the services of Google company are also being obtained which will give accurate information about the traffic situation on the roads coming to Fatehgarh Sahib so that in case of excess traffic on any road, alternative arrangements can be made immediately. He said that five big parking and 16 small parking have been made for parking of vehicles.

3300 police personnel and 300 CCTV cameras will be monitored

Giving detailed information about the security arrangements for the people on the occasion of Shahidi Sabha, the Chief Minister said that more than 3300 police personnel will be deployed on duty to assist the Sangats. He informed that Police Integrated Control Center has been established where special helpline number 0176-3232838 has also been issued for the convenience of Sangat. He said that 300 CCTV cameras are being installed at major places in the city so that a close watch can be kept on anti-social elements. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that drones will keep an eye on the entire city like vultures. He said that to keep mobile services running smoothly, towers are being installed temporarily by mobile companies. He said that 60 ambulances and fire brigade vehicles will be deployed so that any untoward incident can be dealt with immediately.

The Chief Minister said that the work of cleaning the city is most important, for which machinery is being procured from various districts. He said that teams of volunteers will be deployed for cleaning who will perform duty day and night in shifts so that the sanctity of the city can be maintained.

The Chief Minister said that a huge blood donation camp will be organized by the Punjab Government on the holy land of Fatehgarh Sahib during the Shaheedi Sabha so that contribution can be made in the service of humanity. He also gave a strict warning to those organizing unauthorized blood donation camps, saying that even though some cases were reported last year, this time no one will be allowed to organize such camps.

Will leave no stone unturned in a noble cause

The Chief Minister said that it is the biggest duty of the government to make arrangements for the Sangat on the occasion of Shaheedi Sabha and no stone will be left unturned in this noble cause. He also said that if any demand is made by the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee for the convenience of Sangat, the government will give full support to the Shiromani Committee.

Referring to the notification issued to give the status of holy cities to the inner part of Amritsar city (Walled City), Talwandi Sabo and Sri Anandpur Sahib, the Chief Minister said that this has fulfilled the long-standing demand of the Sikhs living across the world. He said that on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, it was announced to give the status of holy cities to these three Takht Sahiban cities of Punjab.

Describing the failure of the BJP government for the serious problem of pollution in Delhi, the Chief Minister said that this is the first time that the blame for pollution was put on Punjab every year but at present the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Punjab is 70 to 110 while the AQI of Delhi is 500. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that there has been a significant reduction in the incidents of stubble burning in Punjab and this fact has also been accepted by the Central Government in the Parliament.

Developed India-Chief Minister’s taunt on Ram Ji

Taking a dig at the announcement of changing the name of MNREGA scheme to ‘Vikas Bharat-Ji Ram Ji’, the Chief Minister said that if the BJP led central government has its way, then India should change its name to ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar’. He said that BJP governments have changed the names of many railway stations and cities. He said that changing the name does not change the system of that city but to change the system the government has to take decisions for the welfare of the people. On this occasion, Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha and special DGP. Law and order Arpit Shukla was present.
