Gurtej Singh was first admitted to Chaman Hospital in Bahadurgarh. Where in a few days about one lakh rupees were spent. Even after that, the doctors told that 80 to 90 thousand rupees more would be spent on his treatment. The financial condition of the family was not good. In such a situation, he benefited a lot from the Chief Minister Health Scheme of the Mann government.

Were going to get treatment by borrowing money

It is being told that Gurtej Singh neither owns land nor has any savings. In such a situation, the family was forced to take money on interest for his treatment. But all they came to know about the Chief Minister Health Scheme being run by the Punjab Government under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann. Besides, he also got help in getting a health card made. After getting registered under this scheme, he got complete treatment in the hospital for six days. For which he did not have to pay any extra, because his entire treatment was covered under the Chief Minister Health Scheme.

The aim of the government is to provide better treatment to the poor

Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that the objective of the Mann government is to ensure that even families with irregular income do not have to worry about the cost of treatment and they can also access better health services. He said that during illness, financial security is as important as medical facilities.

What did Gurtej Singh say?

Mechanic Gurtej Singh said that his biggest concern was where the money for treatment would come from. He said that if he had not had this card, he would have had to borrow money for treatment. Due to which there would be financial pressure on them for many months. But this scheme of Mann government saved them from that financial burden.

Gurtej said that spending such a huge amount could affect the education of his two daughters and the needs of the family. Let us tell you that under this scheme of Mann Government, cashless treatment up to Rs 10 lakh is available. Under this scheme, 3 crore people from about 65 lakh families of the state are getting benefits. Under this scheme, more than 2300 treatment packages are available in more than 800 hospitals.
