Fourth mega PTM organized in Punjab, more than 23 lakh family members participated

Punjab Govt: The picture and fate of government schools of Punjab is changing rapidly. The biggest proof of this is the fourth Mega PTM, which was organized recently. More than 23 lakh family members participated in PTM. PTM was organized simultaneously in more than 7500 government schools of the state. The Punjab government’s initiative has made it clear that the people of Punjab have regained their confidence in the education system of Punjab. Changes have now started taking place in the government schools of the state.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party government did not consider education as just a government scheme but gave it the form of a mass movement. In PTM, parents, teachers and school management came together on one platform and talked openly about children’s studies, their interests, their behavior and their future. This was not just a formality but an attempt to get deeply involved in the education system.

This is how the image of government schools changed

During PTM, many families admitted that earlier they were hesitant about government schools but the same schools are today providing good education, safe environment and confidence to their children. Modern infrastructure, smart classrooms, trained teachers and positive environment have changed the image of government schools.

What did the state education minister say?

State Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains himself visited the schools. He led this campaign in schools. He said that this initiative is not just a meeting but is also an attempt to make parents active towards the education of their children. More than 40 thousand teachers have been given training for this.

What did Manish Sisodia say?

The program was further strengthened by the presence of AAP’s Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia. He said that when lakhs of families trust government schools, it is a big achievement for a government. This gives confidence that the reforms made in the education sector are visible on the ground.
