Great innings of Sarfaraz and Dubey
Sarfaraz Khan appeared in excellent form and scored 32 runs facing just 12 balls at a strike rate of 266. Sarfaraz hit 6 fours and a six during his short, but explosive innings. In the last overs, Shivam Dubey batted brilliantly and scored unbeaten 45 runs in just 28 balls at a strike rate of 160. Shivam hit 5 fours and one six during his innings. Chennai Super Kings scored 209 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. In bowling, Vijaykumar Vaishak took the maximum of 2 wickets for 38 runs from Punjab Kings. Whereas, Yuzvendra Chahal and Marco Jansen took one wicket each.
Punjab Kings’ explosive start
In reply, Punjab Kings’ opener batsmen Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, while chasing the target of 210 runs, made a flying start. Prabhsimran Singh was out after scoring 39 runs in 11 balls. At the same time, Prabhasimran scored 43 runs in 34 balls. Cooper Connolly scored 36 runs in 22 balls with the help of 6 fours. However, Nehal Vadhera disappointed with his performance and he became the victim of Matt Henry after scoring 10 runs.

Shreyas Iyer’s half-century in IPL 2026
Captain Shreyas Iyer stood at one end and scored his first half-century of this season. Iyer was out after scoring 50 runs in 29 balls. In this innings, Iyer hit 4 fours and 3 sixes. After Iyer’s dismissal, Shashank Singh and Marcus Stoinis did not allow Punjab Kings to suffer any further setback. Shashank remained unbeaten on 14 runs in 6 balls and Stoinis remained unbeaten on 9 runs in 3 balls and returned after leading the team to victory. In bowling, Matt Henry and Anshul Kamboj took two wickets each for Chennai Super Kings.
