Its aim is to improve children’s education, behavior and emotional development by strengthening communication between parents and teachers.

School Education Minister presided over

The state level program was presided over by Punjab School Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains at Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Sri Anandpur Sahib. Special training given to teachers

Education Minister S Harjot Singh Bains said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, school education in Punjab is continuously reaching new heights. Based on the theme of ‘Parent-Parent Involvement’, this initiative is making parents active participants in the education of their children. He said that more than 40 thousand teachers have been given special training, so that they can communicate effectively with parents.

SMC played an important role

School Management Committees (SMC) also played an important role in this initiative. While trained teachers conduct dialogue sessions, SMC members engage and support parents. The Education Minister said that the dialogue during the parent-teacher meeting starts with appreciation of the efforts of the students and the cooperation of the parents, thereby ensuring a positive and respectful basis for the dialogue.

How important is this process?

This process helps in understanding the children better, as during the communication, teachers and parents discuss in detail the interests, aspirations and academic progress of the students and get feedback from each other.
