Punjab: Mega PTM in government schools – Maan Sarkar’s special workshop for parents – Keeping an eye on every movement in the media world.

Punjab News: Giving priority to quality education and community participation in government schools of Punjab, an important campaign has been launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the initiative of Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains. The School Education Department is now conducting a comprehensive series of workshops called ‘Parent Involvement’ in all schools across the state with the aim of bringing about a paradigm shift in the education sector in collaboration with School Management Committees (SMCs). Expressing his commitment towards the initiative, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The government is not just building magnificent school buildings, but is also creating a strong education system that will brighten the future of children. The government believes that active participation of parents is the most important key to realizing this dream.”

Outlining the objectives of this initiative, senior officials said that the main aim of these workshops is to completely empower the parents. “The government wants every parent to have a clear idea about their child’s educational progress, the contribution of government schools and their own role in school development. This effort will create a strong bridge between home and school for the overall development of children,” he said. The first session of this important campaign is going to start soon. The workshop series will formally launch with a statewide ‘Mega PTM’ on 20th December 2025, enabling direct and effective communication between parents and teachers.

The department has designed a four-tier robust training framework to ensure that this important information reaches every region of the state. The training will begin by training top master trainers at the state level, after which the process will progress to training teachers at the district and then block level. Finally, in the fourth and final phase, workshops will be conducted directly for all parents at the school level. This reflects the vision of Chief Minister Mann and Minister Bains to transform government schools into the best educational institutions in the country by giving priority to community participation.
