Punjab News: Grand Kumbh of investment will be held in Mohali, big investors will gather in Progressive Punjab Conference

Punjab News: Cabinet Minister for Industries & Commerce, Investment Promotion, Power and Local Bodies Sanjiv Arora today announced that the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 will be held from March 13 to 15 at Plaksha University, SAS Nagar (Mohali). This conference will prove to be an important step towards establishing Punjab as a major hub for investment and innovation.

Wide range of investments available in Punjab

Addressing the press conference, the Minister said that the conference will provide an important platform to investors, industrialists and policy makers from India and across the world to showcase the wide investment opportunities available in Punjab. Speaking at the press conference, Sanjeev Arora informed that a total of 89 sessions will be organized in this conference and it will be one of the most comprehensive investment events ever organized in the state.

Mohali’s role as an IT hub

He said that special sessions focusing on United Kingdom, Japan and South Korea will be organized in this conference. Along with this, a dedicated MSME session will also be organized. Apart from meetings of Sectoral Industry Committees, special sessions related to Mohali’s role as an emerging IT hub, Artificial Intelligence and various industrial sectors will also be organised.

Potential and entrepreneurial spirit

An industrial exhibition will also be organized during the conference, showcasing the products and innovations produced by the industries of Punjab. Through this, the manufacturing capacity and entrepreneurial spirit of the state will be highlighted.

CM Mann will inaugurate the conference

Arora said that Arvind Kejriwal will attend the event as the chief guest, while Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will inaugurate the conference at 10:30 am tomorrow. The inaugural session will run from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. This will be followed by lunch and special sessions related to various areas. The closing ceremony of this program will be organized on March 15.

Representatives and investors arriving from all over the world

The Minister said that delegates and investors are coming from all over the world to participate in this conference. Although some participants from the Middle East could not travel due to flight disruptions, most of the invited international investors are still expected to attend the conference.

Appreciation of investor-friendly policy framework

He further said that the program will highlight the immense potential of Punjab after the launch of the new Industrial and Trade Development Policy, which has been widely welcomed by industrialists across the country. He said that entrepreneurs are appreciating the investor-friendly policy framework presented by the Punjab Government.

Mohali major IT and innovation center

Arora said that through this conference, the government wants the big representatives of the industry to establish coordination among themselves and become aware of the wide opportunities being provided by Punjab for future investment. He said Mohali is fast emerging as a major IT and innovation hub, supported by a strong industrial ecosystem and world-class infrastructure.

Punjab preferred destination for investors

Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment towards sustainable development, he said that the State Government is working to pursue environment-friendly industrial development while protecting natural resources. Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment to further strengthen the state’s economy, Sanjiv Arora said that Punjab is continuously emerging as a preferred destination for investors and the state has further strengthened its position in the Ease of Doing Business ranking.

During this press conference, Secretary of Industries and Commerce Department Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, CEO of Invest Punjab Amit Dhaka and Vice Chairperson of Punjab Development Commission Seema Bansal were also present.
