Kang said that in the investigation by Forensic Science Lab (FSL) of Punjab and Delhi, it has become clear that the video made viral was completely fake. This video was deliberately edited to make false allegations against former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. The investigation report has confirmed that Atishi had not made any derogatory remarks about Sikh Gurus.

MP Kang said that this matter is not just about spreading rumours, but a well-planned conspiracy to disturb communal harmony. He alleged that BJP leader Kapil Mishra weaponized the sentiments of Sikhism for political gains.

Kang said the incident occurred when the Sikh community was celebrating the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. It is extremely sad and shameful for such an act to take place at such a holy time.

Appealing to the Prime Minister, Kang said silence can be seen as consent. He demanded that strict action be taken against Kapil Mishra, he be removed from all posts and his actions be publicly condemned.
