Zero tolerance on crime in Punjab, Education Minister calls police action historic

Punjab News: Education Minister Shri Harjot Singh Bains has described the ‘Operation Prahar’ launched to root out gangsterism and criminal forces in Punjab as a decisive step. He said that this action clearly reflects the zero-tolerance policy of the government led by Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann, which has no place for terrorism, gangsterism and organized crime.

No more laxity, decisive battle begins

Harjot Bains said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mann, an open war has now started for the pride and security of Punjab. Punjab Police has formed about 2,000 teams under this operation, which include more than 12,000 policemen. The entire police force is united in eliminating gangsters from the state.

72 hours special campaign, direct monitoring of Chief Minister

The Education Minister said that this operation has started late at night and will continue for 72 hours. During this period, action is being taken in coordination across the state. Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann himself is keeping an eye on this campaign. He clearly said that this is not an ordinary police action, but a direct declaration against the enemies of law and peace.

Conspiracies will be foiled due to police promptness

Referring to the police encounters in Amritsar and Fatehgarh Sahib, Harjot Bains said that it is clear that the Punjab Police is working with full strength and speed. He said that efforts to create unrest in the state and the country through such actions will completely fail.

The Education Minister said that the Punjab government and the police are standing shoulder to shoulder. He appealed to all the citizens of the state to fully cooperate with the Punjab Police in ‘Operation Prahar’. He said that the government will not rest until the anti-social elements are completely eliminated from the state. This campaign is a strong step towards a secure future for the coming generations.
