Punjab News: Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has created a new record in the field of government jobs. From March 16, 2022 till now, the government is giving government jobs to an average of 45 youth every day. In less than four years, 63,027 youth have got employment, which is a historic achievement in itself.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann handed over appointment letters to 1,746 new police constables at the PAP Ground in Jalandhar. On this occasion, he said that these jobs are not a favor to anyone but are the right of the youth.

In this programme, appointment letters were given to 1,261 constables of district cadre and 485 constables of armed cadre. The Chief Minister said that this is a new beginning in the life of the youth and they will now become partners in the security and development of Punjab.
He also said that during the tenure of the government, many youth have got two or even three government jobs, because all the recruitments have been done completely on the basis of merit and transparency.
Recruitment is being done on merit and transparency
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann clearly said that jobs in Punjab are no longer available through recommendations or bribes. All appointments are made through competitive examinations. He said that the previous governments ignored the abilities of the youth, but his government is giving their rights to the deserving youth.
Punjab Police became stronger
The Chief Minister said that in the last four years, 10,264 youth have been recruited on various posts in Punjab Police. Due to this, the law and order system of the state has become even stronger. Punjab Police is playing an important role in protecting the borders of the country as well as in internal security.
War against drugs, cyber crime and gangsters
The Chief Minister said that Punjab is fighting a big battle against drugs. Under the ‘War on Drugs’ campaign, drug smugglers are being sent to jail and their illegal properties are being demolished.
He informed that Punjab is the first state to launch ‘Baz Aankh’ anti-drone system, which is preventing smuggling of drugs and weapons from across the border.
Strict vigil on cyber crime also
The Chief Minister said that the State Cyber Crime Wing of Punjab is the best performing in the country and has also received the Excellence Award in the Digital Evidence Conference 2025.
Big success in road safety too
The Road Safety Force, created to prevent road accidents, has reduced deaths by 48%. The Government of India has also praised this initiative.
CM’s appeal to youth
The Chief Minister asked the newly recruited soldiers to work with honesty, hard work and spirit of service. Give priority to the problems of the people and contribute in making Punjab safe and prosperous.
