AAP’s storm in Punjab, winning more than 70% seats in Block Committee, Zilla Parishad elections.
Punjab News: Once again it has become clear in the politics of Punjab that people do not see slogans but see actions. The results of the recently held Block Committee and Zilla Parishad elections have revealed strong support in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party in rural Punjab. The victory on about 70 percent seats is being seen as the public’s approval on the functioning of the government led by Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Mann.
People expressed confidence in AAP in Punjab
In the press conference of National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the message was clear that this support is not of any initial phase. The government is about to complete four years in office. Usually, anti-incumbency is discussed at this time, but the picture appeared different in Punjab. Here people remembered the work of the government and expressed confidence again.
The entire process is transparent
The most important thing about the elections was that the entire process was transparent. Videography of every phase, recording of counting and victory and defeat in many seats by very less votes are proof that the elections were fair. The difference between victory and defeat on hundreds of seats was less than 100 votes, in which both the ruling party and the opposition got seats. This strengthened the transparency and credibility of the elections.
How was the impact of decisions seen at the ground level?
The impact of government decisions is directly visible on the ground in rural areas. Strict action was taken under the campaign against drugs, due to which the message was sent to every village that now the rules will be strictly followed. Better arrangement of water through canals and improvement in electricity supply have provided relief to the farmers. Farming and domestic life have become easier due to regular availability of electricity during the day.
Road construction continues
On the infrastructure front, construction of thousands of kilometers of roads is going on, which has improved the connectivity of villages. Even in the field of employment, thousands of youth have got government jobs without recommendation and bribe. In education and health, improvement in schools, better facilities in mohalla clinics and hospitals have increased the confidence of common people.
Due to all these reasons, the results of rural elections have become like a referendum on the functioning of the government. The public has made it clear that transparency and visible work on the ground get full support.
