Under this scheme, skill education in business and marketing will be provided to class 11th and 12th students of government schools. In April 2025, Chief Minister Mann inaugurated the ‘World Skills Excellence Complex’ in Ludhiana. It consists of a state-of-the-art Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and Multi-Skill Development Center (MSDC). The campus is capable of training more than 3,000 students annually. Mann government has breathed new life into the ITI institutes of Punjab. Due to modern technology and better training, there has been a huge increase in the number of admissions in these institutions, which earlier was 50-60%, now it has reached 97%. The government is also using skill development to save the youth from the trap of drugs. In July 2025, a special course was launched to make students aware about the ill effects of drug addiction. The program aims to reach more than 8 lakh students and empower them to stay away from drugs. Through ‘Punjab Skill Development Mission’, the government is also saving the youth of Punjab from the drug epidemic, thereby building a developing Punjab.
