Ingredients required to make Punjabi Pav Bhaji
– 2 cups boiled potatoes (mashed)
– 1/2 cup boiled carrots (grated)
– 1/2 cup green peas
– 1/2 cup capsicum (chopped)
– 2 tomatoes (chopped)
– 2 onions (finely chopped)
– 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
– 2-3 green chillies (chopped)
– 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
– 1 1/2 tsp pav bhaji masala
– 1 tsp red chili powder
– 1/2 tsp coriander powder
– 1/2 tsp cumin
– 1 tsp garam masala
– salt to taste
– 2 tbsp butter
– 1 tablespoon of oil
– 1/4 cup water
– 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves (for decoration)
– 8 Pav (Bread Roll)
– 3-4 tbsp butter (for frying)
How to make Punjabi Pav Bhaji
To make Punjabi Pav Bhaji, first heat oil and butter in a pan. Then add cumin seeds and let it splutter. Now add onion and green chilli and fry until golden. Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry well.

Now add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Let the tomatoes cook until they become soft and spicy. Now add boiled potatoes, carrots, peas and capsicum.
Mix all these well. Add pav bhaji masala, garam masala, and salt and mix well. Add some water and let the mixture boil well. Then use a masala to mash it, so that the texture of the bhaji becomes smooth and thick. Let the bhaji cook for 5-7 more minutes, so that all the spices mix well and the taste increases.

– Heat a pan, cut the pav from the middle and apply butter on it and toast it. Bake the pav until it becomes light golden and crispy. Serve prepared bhaji with pav.
