This will purify all the water. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi resides on the Peepal tree on the full moon day. Therefore, after waking up in the morning, one must offer water and Prasad to the Peepal tree. Plucking basil and bilvapatra on the day of full moon is considered inauspicious.
