Pushpa 2 – The Rule, helmed by Sukumar and featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is generating immense excitement among fans globally. This anticipation stems from the phenomenal success of the first installment, Pushpa – The Rise, which has set high expectations for the sequel. As of now, the film is in production, with post-production work underway, promising a thrilling follow-up.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 gets a new date

Originally slated for a December 6 release, Pushpa 2 – The Rule will now debut in theaters a day earlier, on December 5, 2024. The shift in schedule was reportedly due to production delays.

The recently unveiled poster showcases Allu Arjun in his iconic Pushpa Raj look—draped in a sleek blue shirt, brandishing a gun in one hand and a smoking pipe in the other, all set against a backdrop of towering stacks of cash. This striking image enhances his larger-than-life persona, fueling even more excitement among fans.

Take a look at the new post:

Pushpa 2 is set to build on the intense, high-stakes drama established in its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise (2021). This highly anticipated sequel features Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, alongside a formidable supporting cast that includes Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Anasuya Bharadwaj. The film boasts a talented technical team, featuring cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek, editor Naveen Nooli, and the acclaimed composer Devi Sri Prasad, all contributing to the film's ambitious vision.

During the recent press conference for Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad, producer Naveen Yerneni addressed the film’s release delay. Initially slated for August, the date was pushed back to December. “After moving it from August 15, we explored various options,” he explained. “With films like The Lion King hitting theaters, we wanted a date that would guarantee the maximum number of screens, and December 5 turned out to be our best choice.”

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, this action-packed drama stands as one of the most expensive Telugu films ever, boasting a budget of approximately ₹500 crore. With a three-year wait since Pushpa: The Rise, fans are eagerly anticipating Allu Arjun’s return as the fierce Pushpa Raj.

Additionally, the decision to release Pushpa 2 on December 5 cleverly sidesteps a direct showdown with Vicky Kaushal’s Chhava, which is set to premiere the following day, December 6.
