Pushpa 2: The Rule has been making waves across the country ever since its release. The film has already crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark globally, shattering numerous records along the way. From setting new benchmarks at the box office to breaking records previously held by some of the biggest blockbuster films, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to rewrite history.

Pushpa 2 still trails behind these two movies

The film crossed Rs 1,400 crore in just 11 days and now it’s on track to surpass the Rs 1,500 crore mark, globally. According to Sacnilk, Pushpa 2: The Rule has already outperformed the lifetime collections of RRR (Rs 1230 crore) and KGF Chapter 2 (Rs 1215 crore) within just 12 days.

However, despite this incredible achievement, Pushpa 2: The Rule still has some way to go before it can catch up with the all-time highest-grossing films in Indian cinema. It currently trails behind Baahubali 2: The Conclusionwhich grossed Rs 1790 crore, and Dangalwhich holds the top spot with a staggering Rs 2000 crore.

About Pushpa 2: The Rule

Pushpa: The Rise made a significant impact at the box office, crossing 350 crores globally. On its opening day, the movie netted ₹44 crores in the country with a gross of around ₹53 crores and had set a post-pandemic record for day one. As of the twelfth day since its release, the film had achieved an impressive box office gross of ₹930 crore in India. By the end of day 13, it continued to perform strongly, adding an extra ₹3.66 crore to its earnings. Pushpa 2’s Hindi version also crossed ₹500 crore net collection by the 11th day. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan previously held the record, achieving the same feat in 18 days.

Pushpa 2: The Rulea sequel to Sukumar’s 2021 hit Pushpa: The Risestars Allu Arjun in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj. Pushpa 2: The Rule was released worldwide on 5 December 2024. The film follows Pushpa, a small-time daily wage worker who rises to the ranks of a sandalwood smuggler. He struggles to sustain his business while facing tough opposition from the police, led by Shekhawat.
