Putin Trump: Putin remembered Trump late, congratulated him on victory a day later, condemned America

The reaction of Russia, the strongest nation after America, was a little slow. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Trump a day after the election results were announced.

Foreign policy pundits had also started speculating about Russia's delay in congratulating Trump's victory. However, they all waited for a day or two to find some meaning in it. At present, Putin on Thursday congratulated Donald Trump on winning the presidential election.

This is the Russian leader's first public reaction to the voting results in the US. Putin made this comment after a speech at an international forum conference in the Sochi resort on the Black Sea. Putin said in a question-answer session that on this occasion I would like to congratulate him on being elected as the President of America.

Condemned for wanting Russia's defeat

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Trump on his victory. On the other hand, he condemned America for wanting Russia's defeat in Ukraine. Putin said, the new world order is taking shape. The system led by Western countries is coming to an end. That is why wars are taking place in many places. BRICS countries are ready to assume responsibility in this system.

Putin further said that the leaders of Western countries are playing this exciting game with the country which has the largest number of nuclear weapons in the world. These countries want to see Russia defeated since the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. But that will never happen. He said that the US-led military alliance is a victim of anarchy.
