PV Sindhu became the first Indian player to achieve this feat in women’s badminton.

Desk. Indian star women’s badminton player PV Sindhu, who is currently participating in the Indonesia Masters badminton tournament, has secured her place in the quarter-finals by winning in straight sets against Denmark’s Line Hojmark Kjerfeldt in the pre-quarterfinal match.

PV Sindhu had a challenging start to the Indonesia Masters, having to work hard to win her first match. Sindhu’s victory in the pre-quarterfinals was a historic one, achieving a milestone no other Indian female badminton player had previously achieved in singles.

In the Indonesia Masters Super 500 tournament, PV Sindhu won the pre-quarterfinal match against Line Hojmark Kjerfeldt in just 43 minutes, in which she won the first set by a margin of 21-19, after this PV Sindhu won the second set by a margin of 21-18 and confirmed her place in the quarterfinals.

PV Sindhu’s victory in this match was her 500th career win in singles, with which she became the first Indian female badminton player to achieve this milestone. PV Sindhu is the sixth female player in the world to win 500 or more matches in singles. PV Sindhu will now face world number four player Chen Yu Fei of China in the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Masters. Sindhu and Fei have faced each other 13 times so far, in which Fei has won 7 matches, while Sindhu has been successful in winning 6 matches.
