Olympic medalist and badminton star PV Sindhu had an inspiring talk with students at DPS International School, Gurugram, in which she talked about her journey and the difficulties behind her success. At the event he said that “success does not come immediately” and it requires hard work and persistent effort.

Sharing her experiences, Sindhu said that she has lost more matches in her career than she has won. But he never gave up and always tried for the next match. Sindhu said, “Many times I thought that maybe this is not for me, but I always maintained faith in myself and kept trying. This faith is the key to success.”

He said that “sports is the most powerful classroom in life”, which teaches dedication, discipline and the courage to achieve big goals. Jaipuria also said that schools should not consider sports as just an extra activity, but it plays an important role in the overall development of children.

Sindhu and Jaipuria also discussed how important a support system plays in success. Acknowledging the role of her parents and coaches, Sindhu said that “it is very important to support children” so that they can realize their potential and reach their goals.
