Pakistan was becoming Chaudhary in Iran war. Qatar gave a big blow, closed the doors for Pakistanis!
Qatar Suspends Visa on Arrival for Pakistan: Pakistan presents itself to the world as the leader of Muslim countries. In the ongoing war between Israel, America and Iran, it is seen jumping to play the role of mediator, but in the meantime, Qatar has given a big blow to the Shahbaz Sharif government of Pakistan.
Qatar has recently temporarily stopped the Visa on Arrival (VOA) facility for Pakistani citizens. The Pakistani Embassy in Doha informed about this decision on 30 and 31 March 2026. Now travelers going to Qatar from Pakistan will have to confirm their visa before reaching there, so that any security lapse at the border can be avoided.
Embassy issued warning
The Pakistani Embassy has warned that passengers who do not have a pre-approved visa may face problems in entry. Earlier Pakistani tourists used to take VOA on the basis of hotel booking at the airport, but now this facility has been completely suspended. Now one has to apply online for visa on the Hayya Portal of the Ministry of Interior of Qatar. Officials said those arriving in Qatar without a valid visa could be turned away by immigration.
VOA issued for Indians in Qatar
Due to good bilateral relations between Qatar and India, visa on arrival facility for Indian citizens continues in full force. From February 28, 2026, Qatar automatically extended by 30 days the entry visas that were about to expire. Conditions like passport validity, hotel booking and health insurance remain the same for newly arriving Indian travelers. Indian passport holders are still being given free VOA for 30 days.

All travelers traveling to Qatar are required to have a passport valid for at least 6 months, a confirmed return or onward ticket and health insurance. Experts say that this step has been taken in view of the increasing regional tension and security situation in the Middle East. Travelers are advised to regularly check official websites and visa rules before commencing their journey.
