QS Asia University Rankings 2025 released; IIT Delhi secures top spot

New Delhi: The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released the QS Asia University Rankings 2025 today, November 6. According to London-based higher education analysts, a total of seven Indian institutes have secured positions in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025. IIT Delhi has improved its rankings by 58 places and stands tall as the best institution in the country. It is followed by IIT Bombay and IIT Madras in second and third places, respectively.

Peking University in China continues to remain the top-ranked university in the continent. The University of Hong Kong and the National University of Singapore (NUS) follow in second and third place, respectively. China leads the QS Asia University Rankings 2024 with a total of 5 universities among the top 10.

QS Asia University Rankings 2025: Top Indian Institutes

Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) dominated the QS Asia University Rankings 2025. Surprisingly, IIT Delhi claimed to the 44th position by excelling in research productivity and overtaking IIT Bombay as the best university in the country. IIT Bombay slipped to the 48th rank. This year, the QS has provided a facility to view rankings in sub-regions such as Eastern region (including China, Japan and South Korea) and Southern Asia (including India and Pakistan).
