Questions raised on umpiring in IPL 2026, questions on Digvesh Rathi’s catch, foul play with Finn Allen?
IPL 2026: Kolkata Knight Riders team had to face its third defeat in IPL 2026. Lucknow batsman Mukul Chaudhary played a wonderful innings to lead the team to victory. After the end of this match, questions were once again raised on the umpiring during the match. Digvesh Rathi took a catch on the boundary line to dismiss Finn Allen. There is an uproar on social media over this catch. Yesterday, a shot by David Miller was declared a four without showing the replay, due to which there was a question mark on the umpiring.
What happened to Finn Allen?
Prince Yadav was bowling for Lucknow Supergiants, while opener Finn Allen was batting for KKR. Finn Allen swung the bat hard and the ball went in the air and Digvesh Rathi caught the ball brilliantly near the boundary line. His foot was very close to the boundary line but even after this, review was not taken by the field umpire and Allen was declared out. In this, a mistake has also been made by KKR. The team had the option of taking a review to challenge the umpire’s decision but this was not done from their side. In such a situation, now its video is going viral on social media and people are raising questions on bad umpiring.

Finn Allen’s flop show continues
Kolkata team had included Finn Allen in the team for a prize of Rs 2 crore. Allen batted brilliantly for New Zealand in the T20 World Cup, but for KKR he has looked like a flop so far. He has scored only 80 runs in the 4 matches played so far. The team also has Tim Seifert on the bench. In such a situation, if the management can think of changes in batting. Seifert is also known for batting in a stormy style. At present, KKR team is searching for its first win.
