Lauki Chilla

Material

  • 2 cups bottle gourd
  • 2 cups curd
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped green chillies
  • half teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Half cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  • half teaspoon kasuri methi
  • half cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup mashed paneer
  • 2 cups water
  • salt as per taste

method of making

  • To make bottle gourd cheela, first touch and peel the bottle gourd.
  • Then grate it in a bowl with the help of a grater.
  • Leave the gourd like this for some time. Then squeeze out the water with the help of hands.
  • Now add gram flour, finely chopped green chillies, red chilli powder, finely chopped green coriander leaves and mix.
  • Then add Kasoori Methi, red chilli powder, salt and mix.
  • Now slowly add water to it and prepare a thick batter.
  • Keep this batter for some time to set.
  • Now heat a pan on the gas. Then add oil into it.
  • When the oil becomes hot, pour the batter into the pan with the help of a ladle.
  • Then add oil and fry the cheela well.
  • Now grate the cheese in a plate. Then add salt, red chilli powder and chaat masala and mix.
  • Then stuff it in the middle of cheela. By doing this, prepare the entire cheela from the batter.
  • Bottle gourd cheela is ready. Serve for breakfast with green or red chutney.
