Masala Bread Bites
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
- 4 bread slices (white/whole wheat/multigrain)
- 1 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- 1 finely chopped green chilli
- 1 small onion, chopped
- ¼ cup chopped capsicum
- ¼ cup chopped tomatoes (seed removed)
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp pav bhaji masala or chaat masala
- Fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
How to make:
Cut the bread slices into small squares or triangles. Keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, green chilli, onion and sauté for a minute.
Add capsicum, tomato, salt, and spices. Sauté until lightly cooked but still crunchy.
Add the bread pieces to the masala and gently toss. Make sure every piece is coated beautifully.
Finish with lemon juice and coriander. Serve hot immediately.
Honey-Chilli Paneer Toast
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
- 4 bread slices
- 150 g paneer, crumbled
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- ½ tsp soy sauce (optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped spring onion or coriander
How to make:
- Heat butter in a pan and add crumbled paneer.
- Season with salt, pepper, chilli flakes, soy sauce, and honey. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Toast bread slices lightly in the same pan until crisp.
- Spread the warm honey-chilli paneer mixture generously on each toast.
- Garnish with chopped coriander or spring onions and serve immediately.
