Along with getting ready, breakfast and lunch have to be prepared for everyone. In a hurry, women prefer to make things that can be prepared quickly. This is because along with breakfast, lunch also has to be prepared. Now, there is a little difficulty in doing two things at the same time. Today we have brought a quick breakfast made of semolina and poha. This is going to be liked by everyone from children to adults. It does not take much time to prepare it. Material

  • 2 cups semolina
  • 2 cups Poha
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 5-6 finely chopped green chillies
  • 1 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 1 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 stalk curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Maggi masala
  • Half a cup of finely chopped tomatoes
  • half cup curd

Method of making

  • To make this recipe, first of all, mix 2 cups semolina, 2 cups poha, half a teaspoon of sugar, and half a cup of curd in a bowl.
  • Then grind this mixture in a mixer by adding some water. Once the paste is ready, take it out in a bowl. If the paste seems too thick, then add water to it as per your requirement.
  • Now add 1 teaspoon oil, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, salt, finely chopped green chillies to this batter and mix.
  • After this, add finely chopped tomatoes, capsicum, carrots to it. If you want, you can add other vegetables also to it.
  • Put 1 spoon of baking soda in it and add some water on top. Then mix it well with the help of a ladle. Take a big vessel. Apply oil on it well. Then pour this batter in it.
  • Now put water in a big vessel. When the water becomes hot, put the vessel containing the batter in it and steam it.
  • Check after 10 minutes by inserting a toothpick. If the batter is sticky, cook it for a little longer.
  • When it is cooked properly, take out the vessel. Now let it cool down. Once it cools down, cut it into small pieces with the help of a knife.
  • Now heat a pan on the gas. Then add oil in it. When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and curry leaves and fry them. Then add salt and Maggi masala and mix. Now add the chopped cutlets and fry them.
  • Hot and healthy breakfast of semolina and poha is ready. Serve it with ketchup and green chutney.
