R.N. Ravi moved from Tamil Nadu to West Bengal as Governor in major reshuffle

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the President of India has approved several new appointments and transfers of Governors and Lieutenant Governors across multiple states and Union Territories.

According to the announcement, Vinai Kumar Saxenawho has been serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, has been appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. Meanwhile, Taranjit Singh Sandhuformer Indian ambassador to the United States, has been appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

Several other gubernatorial transfers and appointments have also been announced as part of the reshuffle.

Shiv Pratap Shuklawho currently serves as the Governor of Himachal Pradeshhas been appointed as the Governor of Telangana. In another transfer, Jishnu Dev Varmathe Governor of Telanganahas been appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra.

The Centre has also appointed Nand Kishore Yadav as the Governor of Nagaland.

In Bihar, Lt. General (Retired) Syed Ata Hasnain has been appointed as the new Governor of Bihar.

Further changes include RN Ravithe Governor of Tamil Nadubeing appointed as the Governor of West Bengal.

Meanwhile, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekarwho is currently the Governor of Keralawill discharge the functions of the Governor of Tamil Nadu until further arrangements are made.

Additionally, Kavinder Guptawho has been serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakhhas been appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

The appointments are expected to come into effect once the incumbents assume charge of their respective offices.
