‘Don’t give in to any provocation…’, Rahul Gandhi’s appeal regarding Uttam Nagar Tarun murder case, said – an entire family is facing harassment
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has made serious allegations against BJP regarding the Tarun murder case in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar. He said that the people of Uttam Nagar have paid a heavy price for the violence. On one hand a young boy Tarun lost his life, on the other hand an entire family is facing harassment. They don’t want any more bloodshed. Only BJP and its ecosystem want bloodshed, which takes advantage of every opportunity to bake the bread of violence on the basis of hatred.
Rahul Gandhi said that he (BJP) wants the country to remain torn between Hindus and Muslims. So that people cannot ask why the Prime Minister is forced to hand over the country’s defence, energy security, food security and strategic sovereignty to America. That is why riot-like situations are being created again in broad daylight in the country’s capital. Delhiites are requested not to get misled. The strength of the country lies in our unity, brotherhood and love. Connect, connect India.
Congress MP’s letter to Home Minister
In this matter, Congress MP Mohammad Javed and some other MPs of opposition parties had written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday. In which it was said that in view of the threats being given to the Muslim community, there is a need to take decisive action. In the letter, Javed wrote, I am writing with deep concern and a sense of urgency about the disturbing developments in Uttam Nagar, where people of the Muslim community are being issued open threats.
A section is feeling insecure
According to Javed, the threats, inflammatory slogans and hateful material received by the people have created an environment where a section of citizens are feeling unsafe in the capital itself. The selective and inadequate response of the police is equally disturbing. When threats are made so openly and no action is taken, public confidence in the rule of law diminishes.
Fix accountability for any omissions
He further wrote in the letter, take immediate cognizance of the situation. Fix accountability for any lapse in maintaining law and order. The police should be instructed to take strict action against those who spread hatred, issue threats or try to give a communal color to the situation. Security should be ensured to restore trust. Along with this, there should also be a review of the police action.
