Rahul Gandhi termed poor performance of Congress in Maharashtra elections as unexpected, said- will analyze soon

New Delhi/Mumbai: With the counting of votes continuing from this morning for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the picture of the results has become clear to a great extent, in which it is clearly visible that the Mahayuti is getting the majority. Former Congress President and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has expressed surprise over the recent election results. He said that the election results of Maharashtra are unexpected and will be analyzed in detail. The performance of Congress in the Maharashtra Assembly elections was disappointing due to which there is disappointment among the party workers.

Regarding the election results, Rahul Gandhi posted on the social media platform 'X' and said, “Heartfelt thanks to the people of Jharkhand for giving a huge mandate to the India Alliance. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Chief Minister Hemant Soren ji, all Congress and JMM workers for this victory. This victory of the alliance in the state is a victory for the protection of water, forest and land along with the Constitution.”

Rahul called the results unexpected

Rahul Gandhi further said, “Maharashtra results are unexpected and will be analyzed in detail.” The former Congress President said that he thanks all the voter brothers and sisters of the state for their support and all the workers for their hard work. Mahayuti alliance has got majority in the trends of counting of votes for Maharashtra Assembly elections. Now debate has started over the question of who will sit on the CM's chair in Maharashtra and various kinds of speculations have started.

BJP had a great performance

BJP has won the maximum number of seats in the Mahayuti alliance, which has taken lead on 133 seats. After this, Shiv Sena of Shinde faction is at second position with 57 seats. Ajit Pawar's NCP is in the third lead with 41 seats. At the same time, Congress, which is part of the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance, is leading on 5 seats by winning 10 seats. Shiv Sena (Ubhatha) is leading on 17 seats and NCP (SP) is leading on 13 seats. The performance of Congress in these election results has been quite disappointing.
