Describing it as a surveillance robot, university professor Neha Singh claimed that the robot was part of their Rs 350 crore ‘AI Initiative’. However, investigation revealed that this robot is actually a Chinese-made ‘Unitree Go2’, which is available in the market for just Rs 2.3 lakh. The display of Chinese robots in the name of indigenous technology has sparked outrage on social media.

According to sources, the government has ordered Galgotia University to vacate its stall at the summit immediately after the controversy came to light. However, the university administration has claimed that it has not received any such official message or letter.
