Everyone should come together Rahul sent ‘friendship request’ to the government in Parliament, minister said – we accept

Rahul Gandhi on Delhi Pollution: A unique scene was seen in the Lok Sabha today. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi did not clash with the government, but was seen extending a hand of cooperation. And that too on an issue which has increased the concern from Delhi to the entire country, that is air pollution. Rahul Gandhi said in Parliament that pollution is not just for Delhi or any one state, but it is a serious crisis for the health and environment of the entire country. He said that all political parties should work unitedly on this and prepare a concrete plan for the next 5-10 years.

Describing pollution as a serious issue, Rahul Gandhi told the media, ‘Air pollution is increasing in major cities including Delhi. This is an issue on which all parties can agree. Our children’s future is in danger, they are getting harmed, people are getting cancer, and having trouble breathing. The solution to this problem should be found through discussion without any blame game, and the message should be given to the country that we can work together on pollution.”

There is no use in accusations and counter-accusations

Rahul further said, ‘This is an issue where there is no benefit in allegations and counter-allegations. We now have to work together towards a solution. This message should go to the country that we all are together trying to find a solution.” He also said that there should be a detailed discussion on this in Parliament, and a clear plan should be made for every city. Rahul also suggested that the Prime Minister himself should give information on this issue.

The Congress MP said, ‘Most of our big cities are surrounded by poisonous air. Lakhs of children are falling victim to lung diseases. Their future is in danger. People are suffering from cancer and the elderly are having difficulty breathing. This is an important issue and I am sure that there will be agreement between the government and all of us on this. This is not a political issue, but it is related to everyone’s welfare. Everyone in this House will agree that we will all work together on air pollution and the harm it is causing to our people.”

The government also responded positively to Rahul’s appeal. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the government is ready to discuss every issue and the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) can decide on when and how to discuss. During this, Rahul made it clear that the purpose of the discussion should not be to blame, but how we can reduce the suffering of the people, even if it is not possible to completely eliminate pollution.
