‘They’re like apples and oranges…’ Congress MP’s unique answer on Rahul-Priyanka comparison
Renuka Chowdhury Defends Rahul and Priyanka Speech Comparison: The Gandhi brother-sister duo has made a lot of headlines during the winter session of Parliament. While on one hand the impressive speech of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is being praised, on the other hand, different kinds of discussions are going on regarding Rahul Gandhi’s speech. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Renuka Chaudhary on Friday responded in a unique way to those who compared these two. He made it clear that comparing Rahul and Priyanka is like comparing apples and oranges.
In fact, the speeches of both the leaders are being analyzed in the Lok Sabha for the last two days. Many people believed that Priyanka’s speech was more effective whereas Rahul Gandhi, who was already active in politics before her, could not take full advantage of his experience. Putting an end to this debate, Renuka Chaudhary said that the personalities of both are completely different. Talking to the media, he said that psychologically this comparison is complete nonsense because both of them had talked on different issues in the House.
the style is completely different
Renuka Chaudhary emphasized that we often become too conservative and expect the same kind of reaction, that is how the speech should be. He clarified that Priyanka Gandhi is very nice and has said all that she had to say. If we talk about Rahul Gandhi, he expressed his opinion on a completely different issue and his speaking style is also quite different from that of his sister. Therefore, it would not be right to judge any one as better or lesser because the style of both is impressive in its own place.

comparison is meaningless
When he was asked who was the better speaker among the two, he flatly refused to name anyone. He said that people are completely free to express their opinion, but the reality is that different people view things differently. Reiterating his point, he said that this is like comparing apples and oranges, which is not possible and should not happen. I feel that both the brothers and sisters have raised important and pressing issues of the country in the House in their respective ways.
