New Delhi, January 2. Expressing deep concern over the supply of ‘poisonous water’ to the citizens in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi termed it as negligence of the administration and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi why he does not break silence even on such sensitive issues. He said that pure drinking water is the right of the people but the careless BJP government is distributing ‘poisonous water’ to the people.
Instead of consoling the victims’ families, BJP leaders are making arrogant statements. The surprising thing is that the Prime Minister is silent even on this serious and extremely sensitive issue and is not saying anything. Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media
He asked, “The people of Indore have repeatedly complained about dirty and smelly water supply, yet why no hearing was held. How did the sewer filth get into the drinking water? Why was the water supply not stopped in time and when will action be taken against the responsible officers and leaders? These are not questions of ‘fokat’ – these are demands of accountability. Clean water is not a favor, it is the right to life and the double engine of BJP, its careless administration and insensitive leadership is completely working to kill this right.” Is responsible.”
The Congress leader said, “Madhya Pradesh has now become the epicenter of misgovernance. Somewhere there are deaths due to cough syrup, somewhere there are rats killing children in government hospitals and now there are deaths due to drinking water mixed with sewerage. And whenever the poor die, Modi ji remains silent as always.”
