Rahul Gandhi’s conduct made women uncomfortable, Kangana Ranaut’s sharp retort, clarification on Tapori’s statement – ..

News India Live, Digital Desk: The war of words has intensified between BJP MP Kangana Ranaut and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. Kangana has now given an open clarification regarding her recent statements on Rahul Gandhi. In an exclusive interview to ANI, Kangana raised serious questions on Rahul Gandhi’s parliamentary conduct and said that the behavior of the opposition leader is not in line with the dignity that the country expects. She clarified that she does not want to insult anyone, but she also does not believe in forcibly ‘glorifying’ anyone.

Clarification on the word ‘Tapori’: Lack of etiquette cited as the reason

Explaining her famous ‘Tapori’ statement, Kangana said that in Mumbai language this word is used for those who do not follow etiquette and decorum. She raised the question, “I respect everyone, but why should I put a crown on their head which they do not deserve? Do we want to establish this level of opposition in the Parliament? Whether inside or outside the Parliament, is this kind of behavior befitting?”

Objection to ‘Jiu-Jitsu’ analogy in Parliament: “Women made uncomfortable”

Kangana Ranaut expressed strong objection to Rahul Gandhi’s mention of martial arts (jiu-jitsu) in Parliament and his gesture during that time. He said that many women MPs present in the House were feeling extremely uncomfortable with the way Rahul Gandhi was equating body parts during his address. According to Kangana, “Maybe there is no double meaning in his mind, but there is no point in teaching the tricks of wrestling in the House. The way he was basing his point, it was very strange to hear.”

Rahul Gandhi vs Priyanka Gandhi: Comparison of behavior

Kangana compared Rahul Gandhi with his sister and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and advised him to improve his working style. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi often behaves like an ‘arrogant’ with MPs and interviewees. Kangana said, “Rahul Gandhi should learn from his sister Priyanka Gandhi, whose behavior is very good and decent. Rahul’s conduct sometimes creates embarrassing situations.”

Praise for Prime Minister Modi: Emphasis on equality and women empowerment

During the interview, Kangana praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi a lot. Describing PM Modi as a symbol of equality, he said that his thinking is the basis of historic initiatives like ‘Women’s Reservation Bill’. According to Kangana, it is under the leadership of the Prime Minister that women are getting more representation and respect in the Parliament, which is a big step towards strengthening Indian democracy.
