Shrigonda News : Once again the election battle is going to be played. Assembly election battle will start soon. In the background of this battle, the political atmosphere in Maharashtra is completely heated. Political leaders have already started building a front. The Maha Vikas Aghadi and the leaders of the Maha Yuti have started preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. Similar is the situation in Ahmednagar district which has 12 assembly constituencies.
The political atmosphere has stirred in all the constituencies of Nagar district. Among them, if we talk about Srigonda, the political atmosphere here is very agitated and new development is being seen every day. Candidates are gathering in Mahavikas Aghadi to contest elections from Srigonda Constituency.
Since 2014, the Srigonda Assembly Constituency has been in a close fight between the Nationalist Congress Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2014, Rahul Jagtap, who is currently in the Sharad Pawar group, won from this seat. Babanrao Pachpute of Bharatiya Janata Party won from this seat in 2019.
Pachpute defeated NCP’s Ghanshyam Prataprao Shelar by 4750 votes. The fight was close. Due to this, there is a possibility that Srigonda Assembly Constituency will be given from Mahavikas Aghadi to NCP i.e. Sharad Pawar’s group in the upcoming assembly elections as well.
Against this backdrop, former MLA An Shrigonda Kukdi Cooperative Sugar Factory Chairman Rahul Jagtap along with hundreds of his workers met Sharad Chandra Pawar NCP chief Sharad Pawar today. Importantly, Jagtap’s workers have claimed that he ordered them to start work.
At this time, Jagtap’s workers have made a big claim that eight constituencies in the district will go the way of Sharad Chandra Pawar NCP and Rahul Bhaiya will enter the election fray from Srigonda constituency. On the other hand, former vice president of Ahmednagar Zilla Parishad Annasaheb Shelar is willing to contest the election.
Not only willing but determined to contest elections. For this, Shelar has recently met Sharad Pawar a few days ago. Because of this, even though Jagtap has met Sharad Pawar and his workers are saying that Pawar Saheb has ordered them to start work, it will be very interesting to see who Pawar Saheb will give an opportunity from this seat.
Talking about the election, Shelar said that we are meeting the party leaders, but the people have given us the ticket. So he will not withdraw from this election, he has already withdrawn from the election fray twice for others. But this year, due to the insistence of the people, we are going to contest the election.
Of course, even if Shelar does not get ticket from Sharad Pawar group, we can see him in the election arena. Given this role of Shelar, what decision will Sharad Pawar take now? The whole of Maharashtra is paying attention to this.
