‘Rahul will continue to fight the case, whatever is true should come before the world…’ Congress leader’s lawyer said after appearing in Bhiwandi court.

Rahul Gandhi appears in Bhiwandi court : Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi appeared in Bhiwandi court of Maharashtra on Saturday. He had reached the court in connection with the 2014 defamation case. He was required to sign a bond and provide a new guarantor, as his previous guarantor had passed away. After the appearance, the Congress leader’s lawyer said that Rahul will continue to fight this case, because whatever is true should be revealed to the world.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer Narayan Iyer told the media, “This is a defamation case filed by an RSS worker from Bhiwandi against Rahul ji. Today, this case was listed for cross-examination of Ashok Sackkar, who was the investigating officer in the private complaint. The surety in the case, former Shivraj Patil Chakurkar, has passed away, and hence we had to give a fresh surety…” He further said, “Rahul ji has made it clear that he will continue to fight the case. Whatever is the truth, it should be revealed to the world. We will present our evidence at the right time. We are confident that the truth will come out and we have full faith in the justice system.”

Let us tell you that this matter is related to a comment made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on RSS during the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign. At that time Rahul had accused RSS of killing the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. After which RSS worker Rajesh Kunte had filed a defamation case against the Congress MP. At present, Rahul has got bail.
