Raid on Coldplay and Diljit's concert tickets: ED takes action in 5 states

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Bengaluru in connection with the illegal sale of tickets for Coldplay's 'Music of the Spheres' world tour and Diljit Dosanjh's 'Diluminati' concert. In fact, ticket selling partners BookMyShow and Zomato Live sold out tickets for both the concerts within minutes, raising suspicions of black marketing. Along with this, there have also been many complaints of sale of fake tickets and resale of tickets at higher prices.

According to media reports, FIRs have been registered in this matter in many states. BookMyShow has also filed a complaint against some suspects. According to sources, due to black marketing the ticket prices have become much higher than normal.

Investigations into allegations of cheating and fraud are going on in many states. Many evidences of illegal ticket sale and black marketing have been found in ED raids. Officials say that this campaign will continue and strict action will be taken against the culprits, so that such incidents can be prevented in future.

ED investigation and raid

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has started investigation in the money laundering case. On October 25, they raided more than 13 locations in five cities. During these raids, items like mobile phones, laptops and SIM cards were seized. The investigation also revealed that fake tickets were being sold through Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram. The main objective of the search was to unearth the financial network of illegal ticket sales, scams and the income generated from such activities.

Coldplay's concert will be held in Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21, 2025. Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh's Diluminati India Tour will start from Delhi on 26th and 27th October. After this, he will visit other cities including Jaipur on November 2, Hyderabad on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 17, and Lucknow on November 22, and will end in Guwahati on December 29.
