Railway passengers in Maharashtra got a big gift before the new year. Two important railway stations in the city were put into service for passengers

Maharashtra Railway: There is a good news for railway passengers in the state before the start of the new year. The year 2025 is now in its final phase and the new year will begin in the next few days.

Meanwhile, before the start of 2026, there is a good news for the citizens of Mumbai, the financial capital of the country and the state capital of Maharashtra. That is, two important railway stations in Mumbai have opened for passengers from today.

Two important stations on the Belapur Nerul Uran railway line have today entered into public service from 15th December 2025. Along with this, five additional train journeys have also been started on this route.

After this decision of the Railways, the number of trains on this route has now increased from 40 to 50 and it is believed that this will bring great relief to common Mumbaikars traveling on this route.

In fact, for the past several days, the demand to increase the number of local flights on this route was being raised by the passengers. It was pursued directly to Chief Minister Fadnavis to increase the number of locals on this route.

Due to this, the Chief Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis himself raised an urgent demand with the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to increase the number of local trains on this route.

On this demand of the Chief Minister, a positive decision has now been taken by the railway administration and approval has been given to start five additional trains on this route. Importantly, these additional rounds will start from today.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had taken a major decision to start five additional trains and sanction two stations on this route. Meanwhile, this decision of the Railway Minister will be implemented from 15 December 2025.

These 2 stations are in passenger service

According to the demand of railway passengers, the administration has informed that two new stations will be opened on the Harbor route from 15th December 2025. Two stations namely Targhar and Gavan will be started from today.

Among these, Targhar is an important station located near the international airport in Navi Mumbai. Nearly 100 crores have been spent by the railway administration for this railway station. It will be an important station on this route and will benefit millions of passengers.
