Business Desk – Railway Car Salon Coach: Indian Railways is in the news after a video of Pooja in the luxury car salon coach of Railways went viral on social media. After the video surfaced, many people raised questions whether special railway coaches can be used for private religious programs.

As the controversy escalated, Western Railways clarified the entire matter and said that this coach was not booked for any government department but by a private institution as per the rules for Rs 3,08,580. Since then, people’s interest in Railway Car Salon Coach and the facilities available in it has increased.

Recently, a video of Pooja in the railway car salon coach went viral on social media. After the video, many questions were asked to the Railways on social media. In response, Western Railways said that the concerned salon coach was booked by a private institution on 8 July 2026.

According to Railways, this coach was not reserved for any government department or government official. It was added to 12926 Paschim Express running on 10 July 2026. Railways clarified that the booking was done completely as per the rules and Rs 3,08,580 was paid for it.

What is Railway Car Salon Coach?

Railway Car Salon Coach is considered to be the most luxurious coach of Indian Railways. The experience of traveling in it is like a luxury hotel room. Its booking is not done seat wise like a normal train ticket, but as an entire coach. These coaches are attached with long distance trains as per the need. Their rent is usually two to three lakh rupees or more.
