Desk: Railways has made major changes in the rules regarding reservation in trains. Ticket reservation will no longer be 120 days in advance.
Railways has changed the rules and now the reservation time will be 60 days instead of 120 days. The new rules will come into effect from November 1. Lave said, from November 1, 2024, the advance reserve period will be of 60 days (except the day of travel) and bookings will be made accordingly. However, all bookings made under the advance reserve period of 120 days till October 31, 2024 will remain intact. .

However, cancellation of bookings made outside the 60 day advance reserve period will be permitted. There will be no change in case of some daytime express trains like Taj Express, Gomti Express etc. for which shorter time limit for advance reservation is currently applicable. There will also be no change in the case of 365 day limit for foreign tourists.
