Actually, at present railway passengers can reserve train tickets 120 days in advance. But from November 1, passengers will be able to book tickets only 60 days in advance. The Ministry of Railways has issued this order on Thursday. However, the ministry's order will not affect tickets booked till October 31 and passengers will be able to book tickets 120 days in advance. Passengers will also be able to cancel those tickets which have more than 60 days left for their departure.

On the other hand, this rule will not have any impact on trains like Taj Express and Gomti Express running during the day time. The time limit will continue to be the same as before. Apart from this, tickets for foreign tourist trains can be booked 365 days in advance as before.
