Rain and storm alert in North India: Including UP, Delhi….
Now, the situation of rain and thunderstorm has increased the alert before summer in most parts of the country. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain and strong winds in 11 states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand between March 24 and March 26.
Weather Update: The series of rains in the country is going to create more trouble. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in 11 states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan for March 24. During this period, winds will blow at a speed of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour. Also, there is a possibility of hailstorm in more than 10 states.
Farmers need to be very careful in this season. Lightning and thunderbolts in Eastern India are also a matter of concern. At the same time, the effect of western disturbance will be visible in Jammu and surrounding areas from the night of 26th March. Meanwhile, the difficulties of the people in the hill states are also likely to increase.
Weather conditions in North-West India
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorm in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh between March 24 and 26. The wind speed can be up to 40 kilometers per hour. An alert of heavy rain and strong winds has been issued in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir between March 26 and 28. There is also a possibility of lightning and thunderbolt in these hilly areas.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Rajasthan from March 29. People have been advised to be extra cautious due to strong thunderstorm accompanied with rain.
Rain and storm in eastern India
In eastern India, an alert of heavy rain and thunderstorm has been issued in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha between March 26 and 29. Farmers and local administration will remain alert due to this weather in Bihar on March 26 and 27, in Jharkhand and Odisha on March 27 and 28, and in West Bengal from March 27 to 29.
According to IMD, there is a possibility of sporadic rain, thunder and lightning in West Bengal and Sikkim between March 23 and 27. Strong winds can blow at a speed of 30-50 kilometers per hour.
Weather of Delhi and UP
Delhi: According to the Meteorological Department, a warning of moderate rain and thunderstorm has been issued in Delhi between March 24 and 26. Laxmi Nagar, Anand Vihar, ITO, Rajghat, India Gate, Lajpat Nagar, Kalkaji, Palam and Dwarka areas are likely to receive maximum rainfall. The temperature may drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature will be 31°C and the minimum will be 18°C.
Uttar Pradesh: There is an alert of heavy rain and thunderstorm in Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aligarh, Saharanpur, Shamli, Hapur, Bareilly, Agra, Mathura and Aligarh districts on March 24 in UP. Wind speed can reach 50 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Lucknow will be 31°C and minimum 19°C.
Weather of other states
- Bihar: There is a warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm in West Champaran, East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Siwan, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Kaimur and Arwal districts on March 26 and 27. The maximum temperature in Patna will be 32°C and minimum 20°C.
- Uttarakhand: There is an alert of torrential rains and strong winds in Nainital, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag districts between 26 to 29 March. The maximum temperature in Dehradun will be 22°C and minimum 12°C.
- Himachal Pradesh: There is a possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorm in Shimla, Chamba, Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu, Mandi and Kangra districts from March 26. The maximum temperature in Manali can be 2°C and minimum -8°C.
- Rajasthan: Rain warning continues in Jaipur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Kota and Sikar districts between March 24 and 26. The maximum temperature in Jaipur will be 31°C and the minimum will be 19°C.
Weather of South, Central and Northeast India
Over South India, light rain, thundershowers and lightning are likely over North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during March 24 to 27. Telangana and coastal Karnataka may receive rain with strong winds between March 25 and 27. There will be a possibility of scattered light rain and thunder-lightning in Central India on 26 and 27 March.
There is a possibility of heavy rain, thunder, lightning and wind speed of 30-50 km per hour over Arunachal Pradesh on March 24, Assam and Meghalaya on March 24 and 27. The Meteorological Department has advised farmers to protect their crops, be cautious in downstream areas and stay indoors during lightning storms.
